I have been a long time fan of John’s, but if this is his new direction, well, let’s just say I’ll be finding some other music to occupy my ears. This is Country, twangy country at that! I heard the acoustic rough cut of this song that he played at Berklee and THAT was a great song. Now that he added Lap Steel, it sounds like a thousand other twangy country tunes. So not a fan of Country! C’mon John!

Awe! Debbie! Give John a chance! I LOOOVVVEEEE ANYTHING he does musically. Now I’m not just saying that as a crazy, random, stalker fan. I just love how he takes on new genre’s of music and makes it his own. Through his exploration of different types of music, I have found myself opening up to all types of music. Give it another listen, maybe you’ll like it some more.
